Hanna Barczyk


Hanna Barczyk was born and raised in Germany but now lives in Brooklyn, New York. She received her batchelor of Design at Ontario College of Art and Design. She is known for creating conceptual art illustrations for The New York Times, Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, The Boston Globe, and the The Los Angeles Times. She gets inspirations by her Hungarian folk art traditions, vintage Polish film posters, German Expressionism, memories, love, music, movement, and a passion for dance. She combines pen/ink with digital art.

She has received the Melville White award, and is a member of the Society of Illustrators, American Illustration, Creative Quarterly and 3x3.
